Opindesk is the firewall service desk of Opinnate Network Security Policy Manager system for companies that have no service desk or have limited service desk capability.

The primary purpose of this software is to simplify the process of requesting, reviewing, and implementing firewall policy changes.

It provides a centralized platform where IT teams can manage all aspects of firewall policy changes, from initial requests to final implementation.

It will be used for firewall policy change requests.

The type of firewall policy change requests are:

Standart policy change: Opening a ticket using source, destination and service fields.

Server Cloning: Opening a ticket using a reference IP address and new IP address/es

Group-Based Policies: Opening a ticket using group information and IP addresses.

Some key features of the firewall change management system also include:

  • A user-friendly interface that allows service desk staff or end users to quickly and easily submit requests for firewall policy changes.

  • Automated workflows that help to streamline the review and approval process, ensuring that all necessary stakeholders are involved and that policies are consistent with company standards.
  • A centralized database that tracks all firewall policy changes, including who requested the change, when it was requested, and when it was implemented.
  • Reporting and analytics tools that allow IT teams to analyze firewall policy changes over time, identify trends, and identify areas where policy changes are causing issues.
  • Integration with other IT management tools, such as configuration management databases (CMDBs), ticketing systems, and security information and event management (SIEM) tools.

By providing a comprehensive platform for managing firewall policy changes, Opindesk can help to reduce the risk of security breaches and other security incidents caused by improperly configured firewalls.

It can also help to ensure that firewall policies are consistent with company standards and that changes are implemented in a timely and efficient manner.
